The app
Everything the app stores stays on your Mac: your settings, the number of finished sessions, and a bookmark to your music folder if you picked one. Nothing is sent anywhere, and there is no server behind the app.
It makes exactly one network connection, and that one is optional: the update check. It fetches a signed feed from GitHub, where the app is published. GitHub sees what any web server sees, your IP address, the time, and which version is asking. No system profile goes along with it, and you can switch the check off under Settings, About.
Permissions
macOS asks before the app may do anything outside its own window, and every one of these is optional. Focus control runs two Shortcuts, because macOS offers no other way to set a Focus mode. Music control talks to Music or to Spotify on your own Mac. Playing a folder of audio files needs access to that folder. Notifications are notifications. All of it happens on the machine, and none of it produces data that leaves it.
Downloads
The app comes from GitHub Releases, directly or through Homebrew. That request goes to GitHub rather than to me, and GitHub logs it the way it logs every other download.
This website
No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no fonts or scripts from other servers. The page is static and hosted by Cloudflare Pages, which keeps server logs including IP addresses in order to serve it. Links to GitHub or Ko-fi lead to those services, where their own terms apply.
