Tomatino is a paid app in the Mac App Store. This page says in ordinary words what you buy.
The licence
Buying Tomatino gets you a licence to use it, on the Macs of your household, privately or at work. Behind that stands Apple's standard licence agreement, the one every app in the store is sold under. It also covers warranty, liability and the law that applies. Nothing on this page narrows it, and where the two disagree, Apple's wording counts.
What it costs
One purchase in the Mac App Store, and the price stands on the store page. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase and nothing left to unlock afterwards, and there is no account to create, so there is nothing you can be locked out of. Refunds run through Apple, because Apple is who sold it to you.
Updates
New versions arrive through the App Store, and macOS installs them the way it installs any other update. Nothing expires, an old version keeps running, and there is no way for me to turn off a copy from a distance.
Other services
Buying and updating go through the App Store, so Apple's terms cover that part. Music control talks to Apple Music or to Spotify on your own Mac. Each of them has its own terms, and those apply where you are dealing with that service rather than with me.
